West Sussex Lifestyles of Older People Survey 2006
Synopsis:
The West Sussex Lifestyles of Older People Survey was conducted in
partnership with the West Sussex Public Health Observatory and a range
of West Sussex County Council departments. The survey was undertaken to
understand the key health and well-being issues experienced by people
aged 65 and over and received almost 50,000 responses.
Findings related to smoking, alcohol, contact with health services,
concerns with antisocial behaviour and winter warmth. Social isolation,
local hospital services and GP appointments were raised as issues of
concern for many older people.
