Scottish Schools' Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey (SALSUS)
2002
Synopsis:
SALSUS was established by the Scottish Executive to provide a
broad-based approach to the monitoring of substance use in the context
of other lifestyle, health and social factors. In order to provide
disaggregated as well as national information, the survey had a larger
sample than in previous years: the final sample size was 23,000 pupils
in S2 and S4. The survey was carried out in Spring 2002. An interim
report of initial findings from the survey was issued in December 2002.
