South Leeds Lifestyle Survey 2005
In 2005 a lifestyle survey of the South Leeds population was carried
out. The aim of the survey was to obtain current data on the health and
lifestyles of the South Leeds population. The information gained from
carrying out the lifestyle survey will be used to plan local Public
Health Strategy and initiatives to make it easier for individuals to
make healthy lifestyle choices.
The data for the lifestyle survey was collected by conducting a postal
questionnaire which allowed a relatively large sample to be collected
within a short time scale. The postal questionnaire was sent out to a
random sample of 6200 households in South Leeds. The overall response
rate for the survey was 22% with 1355 respondents sending back completed
questionnaires.
