Bradford Lifestyle Survey 2005
This report presents findings from the 2005 Lifestyle Survey conducted
in Bradford City tPCT area. The survey was commissioned by Bradford City
tPCT, and had the objectives of obtaining information on health
determinants from a representative sample of the PCT area. The survey
was conducted by Information by Design (IbyD), using a team of locally
recruited interviewers based at the Action for Business Centre on
Carlisle Street in Bradford.
The survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews with a sample of
the Bradford City tPCT population. In total, 1569 interviews were
conducted. A stratified random sample of residents was selected which
was used to form the basis of the first contact list. Prior to the
interviews being conducted, respondents were sent a letter informing
them that the study was to take place and asking for their consent.
Booster samples of respondents from Bangladeshi and Afro-Caribbean
groups were also undertaken.
