Liverpool and South Sefton Lifestyle Survey
The Liverpool and South Sefton Lifestyle Survey was carried out by
the Health and Community Care Research Unit in September 2003. The aims
of the research were:
- To collect baseline data on health and lifestyle from a random sample
of Liverpool and Sefton residents
- To analyse the data by risk factors for non-communicable diseases,
by age and by level of deprivation for each PCT and ward (if feasible)
and for the whole of Liverpool and Sefton
A total of 28,000 questionnaires were sent to residents in Liverpool and
Sefton asking questions about areas such as smoking habits, exercise
habits, aspects of diet, height, weight, age, sex, and ethnic origin.
