South Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority - Health Experience
Research Online
Synopsis:
A Health Experience Research Online (HERO) survey was carried out on
behalf of South Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority and its partners
over December 2002 and January 2003. The work was commissioned following
a competitive tendering exercise carried out by the Authority. Results
were derived from an online survey and covered more than 180 data sets
focusing on preferences in respect of health professional, venue for
care, travel and out of hours care. The polling software only recorded
responses from those who gave their post-code as being one of those
listed above i.e. post-codes within the area covered by South Yorkshire
Strategic Health Authority.
Key themes are provided as a summary. A high level analysis
commenting on overall weighted responses and demographic variations by
age, sex, social class, ethnicity and whether the respondent has
children (where such variations deviate from the average by more than
five percent for all demographies other than ethnicity where, because of
the relatively low sample size, a variation of ten per cent or greater
is required before comment is made) is also provided. Detailed tables of
results are provided as Excel spread sheets. A break-out of the raw data
by demography (age, sex, children, social class and ethnicity) is
provided. Survey data derived from viral marketing (414 responses) is
also broken out by NHS employee.
