Review of the Research Process
A Lifestyle Survey
follows the same process as any survey or other research. It starts
by stating the purpose of the survey and its objectives
and ends with a report of findings. However, before
undertaking or commissioning a survey, it is crucial to
specify the purpose of the research, to set research
objectives, and to assess the value of the information
to ensure that it is worthwhile to undertake the
research. Only then should the research design and
research method be considered. This is shown in
the diagram below, which illustrates the research process.
