• Is it answering the research objective?
• Is it essential or 'nice to have'?

• Will the respondent understand the question?

• Are the words used too difficult?
• Is it ambiguous in any way?
• Will all respondents read and interpret the question in the same way?

• Will the respondent be able to answer the question?

• Can they remember - are you asking them for too detailed recall?
• Was it too long ago?
• Have you given them the chance to say 'I don't know'?

• How will the respondent feel about the question?

• Is it too personal?
